Testimonials

“Shri, anchored in Pawtucket, has been serving students of all backgrounds for more than a decade by delivering low-cost and free yoga outreach programs to improve the physical and emotional health of some of our states most vulnerable  residents. Thanks to support from the Simon W. Wardwell Foundation, Shri has been able to consistently expand our programs to children and some of our community’s most at-risk seniors. To date, the Foundation’s support has helped serve hundreds of Pawtucket and Central Falls residents including: students in elementary schools, seniors in senior centers & nursing homes, and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities inside our beautiful new center. Our students  range in age from 7 to 101 years old, and our tested curriculum continues, thanks to this support, to expand its healing reach in inclusive and dignified settings.”

Alison Bologna, Founder, Shri

“We are extremely grateful to The Simon W. Wardwell Foundation for their partnership and generous support, as we strive to all we can to support our kids, our families, and our learning community.  Thanks to their support, we now have a culturally aligned, state-of-the-art kitchen, new curricular supports focused on meeting the true needs of today’s students, and a Learning Lab strategically focused on propelling our students’ academic growth, while addressing foundational gaps. These critical investments have dramatically improved the educational experiences for each of our students – both in and out of the classroom – on a daily basis.

Please know how deeply appreciative we are to the Simon W. Wardwell Foundation for all they do in the community, especially for our most underserved youth, and for sharing in our mission of growing the future teacher leaders, student leaders, and community leaders our state, nation and world so desperately need!”

Meg O’Leary, Head of School, The Learning Community

“The Wardwell Foundation’s support has been invaluable, and we couldn’t ask for better partners in helping us achieve our mission. The team takes the time to get to know us and our students’ stories, and have adapted with us as our goals have shifted from addressing the immediate crisis of the pandemic to envisioning new ways of supporting college and career exploration for Rhode Island young people.”

Sarah Anderson, CEO & Superintendent, Blackstone Valley Prep

“The Simon W. Wardwell Foundation has been an incredible new and empowering partner organization to the City of Central Falls. From supporting key educational initiatives for our students to mental health and nutrition support for our families, the work of this Foundation has already made a direct and positive impact on our community. I look forward to continuing to see their championing efforts help our city and our neighboring communities for years to come. ¡Muchas gracias Wardwell Foundation!”

Central Falls Mayor Maria Rivera
